It is vital for the elderly to have regular eye health examinations to detect eye diseases and improve poor vision to enhance quality of life.

For those over 60, the eye test is FREE under the NHS and depending on circumstances, they may also receive a voucher towards the cost of a pair of spectacles. In some cases this voucher could cover the full cost and therefore there is no excuse in having regular eye examinations
