Andrew, a fully qualified Optometrist has a special interest in Contact Lenses and the problems of Dyslexia.
Bartha, a qualified Dispensing Optician, is committed to ensuring our clients get the best technical advice - we want you to enjoy wearing your new eyewear - looking good makes you feel great!

Eye tests
At Pitman Optometrists we pride ourselves on providing a full and thorough eye examination for every patient whatever their needs.
A regular eye examination should be part of everyone's healthcare programme, starting when we are children. It not only makes sure that that you have clear and comfortable vision; it also acts as a check on your eye health and other general health problems such as diabetes or blood pressure.
We have fully equipped consulting rooms, including the latest digital Retinal Camera to provide photographs of the eye providing more accurate information about your eyes!
At the end of your examination the results will be explained and a copy of your prescription given. Please feel free to ask questions.
Spectacles
The important part of wearing glasses is to correct your vision but you must also look and feel good in your eyewear to fully enjoy the experience.

Contact lenses
Contact lenses offer an alternative to spectacles; they give you all round vision and freedom from spectacles useful for sports, hobbies or just socialising. They can even make your brown eyes blue!
Most people who wear spectacles could wear contact lenses thanks to the advances in technology. Today's contact lenses are comfortable and easy to look after. They are available in lots of different types and can even help people who have astigmatism or wear bifocal or multifocal spectacles.
