Our provision
- We provide high quality optical care for the whole family (NHS and private; spectacles and contact lenses).
- We offer a very friendly, personal and relaxed service from highly trained professional staff.
- Retinal photography is available to all patients and as part of Oxfordshire's diabetic eye screening service.
- Home visits are available within a 15 mile radius of Wallingford. A monthly clinic is held at Goring doctor's surgery, for our less mobile patients in Goring.
Patient care
Our commitment to patient care is reflected in the times we allocate for apointments: a normal appointment is 30 minutes, and we devote 40 minutes to new patients' first eye examination. We conduct thorough NHS and private examinations in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, taking the time to listen to your needs and to answer your questions. Our determination to provide the best care is also demonstrated in our investment in high-quality diagnostic/analysis equipment, such as our fundus camera and slit lamp camera.
Qualified Staff
In addition to our fully qualified and accredited optometric staff, we have qualified dispensers, registered with the General Optical Council, in all our locations. Our investment in qualified, experienced and educated staff means that you can be confident of our standard of service and of a result that is both professional and just right for you.

Our services
Eye tests
As a Kodak Lens Vision Centre, we pride ourselves on providing a complete, thorough eye examination for every customer. Fully qualified optometrists conduct all of our eye examinations, as they are a vital health check for your eyes.
Regular eye examinations are essential for making sure that you have clear, comfortable vision. They are also an important health check as the optometrist can determine the health of your eyes plus also detect other general health problems such as high blood pressure or diabetes.
At the end of your eye examination the results will be fully explained and you will be given a copy of your prescription.
Spectacles
Frames
Our frame ranges include:
Jai Kudo, Silhouette, Ripcurl, Daniel Hechter, Ray-Ban, Nikon, Sophia Loren, Viyella and Gloria Vanderbilt.
Complete spectacles are available from £65 or at no charge to those entitled to an NHS voucher.
Sunglasses
We supply sunglasses by Calvin Klein, Ray-Ban, Nautica and Michael Kors, among others, with or without prescription.
Lenses
We can supply all types of single vision, bifocal and multi-focal lenses. Our experienced staff will be happy to advise you on hi-index materials, anti-reflection coating and lenses giving sun and UV protection.
Contact lenses
All our experienced optometrists fit contact lenses and we are able to supply many different lens types and materials, including gas permeable, daily and monthly disposable soft lenses and multifocals.
